Basic Electrical Terms
| Term | Definition |

| Current | A flow of charged particles |
| Resistance | Anything that slows the current |
| Voltage | The potential difference in a circuit |
| Volt | Unit of measure for how much "push" is behind a charge |
| Charge | Electrical activity |
| Neutral | No electrical activity |
| Ampere | Unit of measure for current |
| Ohm | Unit of measure of resistance |
| Circuit | A closed path for a charge to follow |
| Open circuit | A circuit without a continuous conductive path |
| Closed circuit | A complete circuit with a continuous conductive path |
| Short circuit | A circuit where current is not resisted by anything |
| Static electricity | A buildup of charged particles |
| Electron | Electrically active subatomic particle with a negative charge |
| Proton | Electrically active subatomic particle with a positive charge |
