Chemical Bonding

WORDDEFINITION
chemical Bonding the combining of atoms to form molecules or ionic compounds
Chemical Bond An interaction that holds 2 atoms together
Valence Electron An electron on the outermost level of an atom
Ionic Bond a bond that forms when electrons are transferred from 1 atom to another
Ion Charged particles that form whe atoms gain or lose electrons
Crystal Lattice the regular pattern in which a crystal is arranged
Convalent bond when atoms share 1 or more pairs of electrons
molecule the smallest unit of a substance that keeps all of its properties
metallic Bond a bond formed by the attraction between psoitively charged metalliods and the elctrons around them
