Chemical bonding Is the joining of atom to form new substances.
Chemical Bond An interaction that holds two atoms together .
Valence Electron An electron in the outermost energy level of an atom.
Ionic Bond Is a bond that forms when electrons are transferred from one atom to another atom.
Ions Are charged particles that form when atoms gain or lose electrons.
Crystal Lattice A repeating three-dimensional pattern.
Covalent bond Forms when atoms share one or more pairs of eletrons.
Molecule Consists of two or more atoms joined in a definite ratio.
Metallic Bond Is a bond formed by the attraction between positively charged metals ions and the electrons in the metal.
