| Expend | to use up; to pay out, spend |
| Gullible | easily tricked, fooled, or cheated |
| Immerse | to involve deeply; to plunge or dip into a fluid |
| Inflammatory | leading to unrest, violence, or disorder; causing excitement or anger |
| Persevere | to refuse to quit even when the going is tough; to keep doing something in spite of difficulties |
| Quash | to crush, put down completely |
| Testimonial | expressing the value and worth of someone or something; a statement that speaks to a person's character or to the benefits of a product |
| Writhe | to make twisting or turning movements in a way that suggests pain or struggle |
| Authroize | to give power or authority to; to approve or permit |
| Dissect | to analyze with great care; to cut apart in preparation for scientific study |
