| Term | Definition |

| Acceleration | A vehicle's capacity to gain speed within a short time. |
| Displacement | The moving of something from its place or position. |
| Speed | The rate at which someone or something is able to move or operate. |
| Momentum | The quantity of motion of a moving body, measured as a product of its mass and velocity. |
| Mass | A coherent, typically large body of matter with no definite shape. |
| Inertia | A tendency to do nothing or to remain unchanged. |
| Average speed | The average speed of an object is the total distance traveled by the object divided by the elapsed time to cover that distance. |
| velocity | The speed of something in a given direction. |
| newtons law number 1 | An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force. |
| newtons law number 2 | The second law states that the acceleration of an object is dependent upon two variables |
