Generator A device that uses magnets to change mechanical energy into electricity.
Light Energy Energy in the form of waves that can travel through empty space.
Switch Turns a circuit on and off.

Chemical Energy Energy stored in a battery.
Convex Lens A lens that is thicker in the middle and makes objects look bigger.
Series Circuit A simple circuit, when one light goes off, they all go off.
Prism A triangular glass bar that separates white light into colors.
Mechanical Energy Energy in motion.
Source or Cell Another word for a battery.
Concave Lens A lens that is thinner in the middle and makes objects look smaller.
Ingredient One part of a mixture.
Evaporation Can be used to separate substances that are soluble (water and salt).
Filter, Strainer, or Sieve Tool used to separate a mixture.
