Keywords and more

How to search the right way

TermDefinition
Keywords A word that indicates the main idea of a sentence or document.
AND A Boolean operator that includes more than one word in search query.
OR A Boolean Operator that will accept either word in a search query.
NOT A Boolean Operator that excludes words from a search query.
Synonyms Words of equal or similar meaning to the original keyword.
date limiters ways a search engine can limit the search based on the publication date of the article or book.
mind map A graphic way to connect ideas or branching to help generate new concepts or recall or analyze new ideas.
research starter An encyclopedia article summarizing a topic to help begin the research process.
