| emotional intelligence | EQ is the ability to recognize and effectively manage your emotions and to effectively manage the emotions of others |
| empathy | the ability to understand and share the feelings of others |
| stress | any interference that disturbs a person's mental or physical well-being |
| hedonic adaptation | the observed tendency of humans to quickly return to a relatively stable level of happiness despite major positive or negative events or life changes. |
| gratitude | the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness. |
| eustress | moderate or normal psychological stress interpreted as being beneficial for the experiencer |
| reframe | look at the problem from a different perspective |
| affirmation | your statement of core beliefs and support for yourself |
| flow state | total absorption in an activity or total engagement |
| strawberry moment | finding good in everything |
| dopamine | a hormone that makes you feel good |
| self-esteem | confidence in one's own ability |
| REM | rapid eye movement that occurs during sleep |
