newtons unit the force is measured in
balanced forces Balance forces are two forces acting in opposite directions on an object, and equal in size.
gravity the force that attracts a body towards the centre of the earth, or towards any other physical body having mass.
contact forces In physics, a contact force is a force that acts at the point of contact between two objects, in contrast to body forces.
friction the resistance that one surface or object encounters when moving over another.
spring balance a object that measures forces
weight how heavy something is
mass A measure of how much matter is in an object.
spring tide A spring tide is a common historical term that has nothing to do with the season of spring.
Earths rotation Earth's rotation is the rotation of Planet Earth around its own axis.
probe an object that goes and orbits other planets
solar eclipse the moon blocks out the sun
telescope an optical instrument designed to make distant objects appear nearer, containing an arrangement of lenses, or of curved mirrors and lenses, by which rays of light are collected and focused and the resulting image magnified.
static electricricity a stationary electric charge, typically produced by friction, which causes sparks or crackling or the attraction of dust or hair.
buoyancy a force that acts in water and pushes objects upward.
