TPACK Vocabulary Cards
| Term | Definition |

| TPACK | Acronym for "Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge", a framework that deals with the relationship of technology to education |
| Framework | An overall structure or layout of ideas, in this case to the relationship of technology, education and content. TPACK is considered a framework. |
| Content Knowledge | What the educator knows about the subject matter. |
| Pedagogical Knowledge | What the educator knows in relation to teaching-its different processes, techniques, methods, aims & purposes, etc.. |
| Technological Knowledge | What the teacher knows about technology, and how to utilize it in an educational setting. Also describes the educator's ability to utilize. |
| Technological Content Knowledge (TCK) | The educator's understanding of how different kinds of subject matter can be communicated through different technological methods; also how some types of technology are better suited to certain types of subject matter. |
| Contexts | "The inter-related conditions in which something occurs", in this case TPACK. |
| "Sweet Spot" | Slang term for the overlapping of TCK, TPK & PCK, where they all come together to form TPACK. |
| Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge | Theory developed by MSU researches Mishra & Koehler that helps to both explain and guide effective educational technology integration. Formed from the overlapping of TCK, TPK and PCK, which are themselves formed from the merging's of PK, TK & CK. |
| Technological Pedagogical Knowledge (TPK) | how the educator understands that certain technologies change how things are taught, and the learning experience |
| Pedagogical Content Knowledge | Educator's knowledge in regards to the foundational areas of teaching and learning. (ex. curriculum, assessment, etc.)Differs according to grade and subject. |
