| Term | Definition |

| noun | a person, place, thing, or idea |
| adjective | describes a noun or pronoun |
| pronoun | takes the place of a noun |
| verb | action - something you physically do helping - helps out the action verb by showing past or present tense linking - all alone links a subject ot a noun or adjective |
| adverb | describes a verb, adjective, or other adverb |
| preposition | tells about a noun or pronoun and its position |
| conjunction | joins tow or more words or clauses together |
| interjection | expresses emotions |
