Fricatives | Consonants produced with friction |
Glides | Consonants for which articulators begin in one position and move to another |
Glottal | Voiceless consonant produced by sending air through the glottis |

Laterals | Consonants produced around the sides of the tongue |

Palatal | Hard palate |
Plosives | Consonants that are exploded by momentarily stopping the air stream and then releasing it |
