Valacyclovir (Valtrex) tablet oral Herpes Zoster (shingles): 1g 3 times a day for 7 days. Genital Herpes (acute): 1g twice a day for 10 days Genital herpes (chronic suppression): 1 g a day herpes labialis (cold sores): 2 g every 12 hours for 1 day
