| Stimulants | Impacts the central nervous systemncrease alertness, heart rate, blood pressure , breathing and glucose level Example: Adderall, Ritalin, Synthetic Marijuana, Cocaine, Methamphetamine, Ecstasy, Caffeine |
| Depressants | Impacts CNS but slowing down. Calms you down Example: Rohypnol, Barbiturates, Xanax, Valium, Benziodiazephines |
| Hallucinogens | shifts emotions and perceptions of things that arent really there Example: LSD, Psilocybin, Salvia, Peyote |
| Dissociatives | Distorts the user's perception of reality Example: Ketamine, DXM, PCP |
| Opiods | Powerful pain killers that produce a sense of euphoria Example: Heroin, Morphine, Hydrocodone, Oxycontin, Percocet, Codeine, Opium, Vicodin |
| Inhalants | causes brief feelings of euphoria Example: Markers, paint |
| Cannabis | Recognized as marijuana, Schedule 1 (highly addictive) that produces depressant-like effects |
