| Beta Blockers | Decrease workload of the heart by vasodilation of HR. |
| Beta Blocker Meds | Known to end in "OLOL" - Atenolol, Metoprolol. |
| Adverse Reactions of Beta Adrenergic Meds | Orthostatic Hypotension, Bradycardia, Dizziness, Weakness, and Headache. |
| Nursing Interventions | Monitor VS: HR/BP, EKG. Urine Output. VS at home. Lay down; rest Hold if HR is <60 Decongestants/ cold meds - Be careful BP increase with these meds. Do not give BB to asthmatic pt's bc it can cause Broncospasms. |
