TermDefinition
synonym a word that means the same or almost the same as another word
atlas a book of maps
title page the page (usually on the front) of a book that tells the name of the book, the author, and other important information
point of view how a person sees (or hears) something and what he thinks about it
summarize to give information again using less words
problem something that is not right or needs to be fixed in a story or movie
main idea what a piece of writing is mostly about
sound Something that can be heard
author the person who wrote the words in a piece of writing (like a book)
letters a symbol that is used to represent a sound – They are used to make words to communicate in reading and writing
