TermDefinition
adverb a word that tells more about a verb or adjective e.g. slowly, quietly
alphabet the letters used to make all of the words of a language
feedback helpful information given to improve something
illustrate / illustration a drawing or painting that goes along with the text in a book
discuss to talk about (something) with another person or group
run-on sentence two or more sentences that are not separated correctly
same exactly alike (Not different)
contraction a short form of a word group that is usually made by leaving out a letter or sound e.g. can not ---> can't or did not ---> didn't
passage a short piece of writing
setting a place and time where something happens in a story
