Cefazolin Anicef - 1st generation cephalosporin. Can be administer as IV or IM. Treat bacterial infections of the skin.
Cefixime Suprax - 3rd generatio cephalosporinn antibiotic. Treat gonorrhea, tonsitis, pharyngitis
Cefrozil Cefzil - Cephalosporin antibiotic, treat bronchitis, ear/skin infecton.
Azithromycin Zithromax - New generation macrolide antibiotic, treat bacterial infections ex. ear
Clarithromycin Biaxin - Macrolide antibiotic, treat tonsilitis, pharyngitis, pneumonia, skin bacterial infections.
Ciprofloxacin Cipro - 2nd generation fluoroquinolone antibacteria . Kills bacteria interfering with the enzyme
Gatifloxacin Tequin - 4th generation luoroquinolone, inhibits the bacterial enzyme gyrase.
Levofloxacin Levaquin - Synthetic chemo agent, treat severe life threatening bacterial infection
Moxifloxacin Avelox - 3rd generation fluoroquinolone antibacterial.
Bacitracin Baciquent - Polypeptide antibiotic. Topical ointment for bacteria caused by cocci
Mupirocin Bactroban - Topical and nasal medication used for impetigo (stahylococcus)
Clotrimazole Canesten - Antifungal, used for fungus infections(vaginal yeast, oral thrush, ringworm)
Fluconazole Diflucan - Antifungal, treat and prevent suferficial & systematic fungal infections
Itraconazole Sporanox - Antifungal, treat fungal infections isolated to small area of the body
Ketoconazole Nizoral - Antifungal, treat athlete's foot, dandruff ringworm, jock itch.
Terbinafin Lamisil - Antifungal, treat finger/toenail infections. Stop the growth of fungus
Acyclovir Zovirax - Antiviral, treat initial and recurring severe genital herpes
Ganciclovir Cytovene - Antiviral, treat or prevent cytomegalovirus(CMV) infection, for ocular use
Ribavirin Virazole - Antiviral, antimetabolite w/c interfer with the duplication of genetic viral material. Prodrug, inhibits the replication of DNA & RNA(ribonucleic acid)
Valacyclovir Valtrex - Antiviral, used to managed herpes simples & herpes zhoster(shingles)
Lamivudine 3TC, Heptovir - Treatment of chronic hepatitis B
Zidovudine AZT, Retrovir - Antiretroviral, first approved to treat HIV & AIDS infections
Efavirenz Sustiva - Used as part of highly active antiretroviral therapy for immunodeficiency, NNRTI(non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor)
Indinavir Crixivan - Protease inhibitor, used as component of HAART(highly active antiretroviral therapy) for HIV & AIDS
Nelfinavir Viracept - same as Indinavir
Ritonavir Norvir - same as Indinavir
Sanquinavir Invirase - same as Indinavir
