QuestionAnswer
Auxiliary label an adhesive label that is attached to a container with specific instructions or information pertaining to the medication inside.
Inpatient pharmacy A hospital or institutional pharmacy
Hard copy The original prescription
Adjudication The electronic determination whether a person's insurance coverage is confirmed.
OTC Over the counter
Outpatient pharmacy A community pharmacy
RTS Return to stock
RX Latin for 'recipe'; commonly used to mean 'prescription".
Script A prescription
Sig Medication directions written in pharmacy terms on a prescription.
