Vocabulary

QuestionAnswer
artifact an object made by a human being, typically an item that has cultural or historical significance.
cause an initial action, an event that makes something happen.
effect the result of an action.
context clues information in words or phrases surrounding an unfamiliar word that hint at the meaning of the unfamiliar word.
hyperbole an extreme exaggeration.
connotation the implied meaning of a word.
denotation the literal or dictionary meaning of a word
fact a statement that can be proven.
proofread to reread your essay and check for any mistake in punctuation, capitalization, and spelling.
gift what you want your reader to think about after reading your essay.
