Pedestrian: Drivers must yield to pedestrians. a person walking in a city along a road
Pedicure: Mary's feet looked glamorous after her pedicure. a treatment to improve the appearance and health of the feet and toenails
Pedometer: My mom's pedometer indicated she walked two miles today. a device that measures the distance a person travels by walking
Podiatrist: Donald is seeing a podiatrist for his foot infection. a doctor who treats injuries and diseases of the foot
Tripod: Dad put the video camera on a tripod to record my baseball game. a support or stand for a camera or telescope that has three legs
Counterfeit: The criminal was arrested for trying to buy things with counterfeit money. something that is made to look like an exact copy of something else in order to trick people
Counterpart: The actress filmed the scene with her male counterpart. someone or something that has the same job or purpose as another
Counteract: He took Advil to help counteract the pain in his back. act against something; to cause something to have less of an effect or no effect at all.
Contradict: My teachers tries to contradict everything I say in class. to say the opposite of something; to deny the truth about something; to deny or disagree with what is being said by someone; to not agree with something in a way that shows or suggests that is wrong
Contrary: Contrary to what my brother said, I did not slap him that hard. an opposite or different fact, event, or situation
