| capricious | given to sudden and unpredictable change |
| genome | the complete set of genetic information that an individual organism inherits from its parents |
| irreducible | incapable of being decreased or simplified |
| Deism | the belief that there is a God who set the universe in motion but who does not interfere with how it runs |
| Theism | the belief that there is one God who created and rules humans and the world |
| impervious | remaining unmoved and unaffected by other people's opinions, arguments, or suggestions |
| potentate | someone with power and authority, especially a king or other leader who has power to rule over others |
| culpable | deserving blame or punishment for a wrong; guilty |
| irrevocable | not able to be changed or undone |
| plethora | a large or excessive amount or number of something |
| illusory | imaginary; based on an illusion |
| undulate | to rise and fall gracefully; to move like waves |
| neurosis | a mild psychiatric disorder characterized by anxiety, depression, and hypochondria (imaginary illness) |
