What does the vocab term PHYSICAL FEATURES mean? Characteristics of the earth.
What does the vocab term CULTURAL FEATURES mean? Features of the landscape that are influenced by the culture of the people living there.
What does the vocab term SITUATION mean? How well a location works for the people living there. (Good/Bad things about living there)
What are some examples of physical features? -Body's of water - Plant life - Animal Life - Climate - Mountains
What are some examples of cultural features? - Religion - Language - Housing - Sports - Transportation
What physical sites did the early colonial people have? view of water, access to raw materials, access to trade with Native Americans
What human sites did the early colonial people have? More men than women and few children till later years, young colonists, buildings simple & temporary, wall or fenced in community.

Why are the more populated areas on the coast? When people sail to another country/ place they land at coast, and if others land on the coast people would want to stay and trade with others.
