Simple Random Sampling | every member of a pop. is listed, then members are randomly selected to participate in the survey |
Stratified Random Sampling | total pop. is divided into demographic groups and then a certain % of each group is randomly selected for questioning |
Multistage Sampling | 1st random selection stage, researcher randomly chooses natural groups and gets names of all people, then in 2nd stage researcher randomly selects a certain % of people in the selected groups |
