Terms to know when researching

TermDefinition
reliable consistently good in quality or performance; able to be trusted.
bias prejudice in favor of or against one thing, person, or group compared with another, usually in a way considered to be unfair.
primary source first or highest in rank or importance.
secondary source next after the first in order, place, time, etc. belonging or pertaining to a second
paraphrase restating or rewording.
plagiarize to take and use ideas, passages.
objective something that one's efforts or actions are intended to attain or accomplish.
fact something that actually exists; reality; truth.
opinion a personal view, attitude, or appraisal.
dialogue conversation between two or more persons.
debate a discussion involving opposing viewpoints.
unreliable unable to be trusted.
