| doldurms | a period or mood of inactivity, boredome, or mild depression; indifference; idleness; inactivity |
| lethargy | a tate of having very low energy with drowsiness and lack of interest or feeling; sloth, indifference, idleness, inactivity |
| killing time | wasting time |
| diction | choice of words in speech or writing |
| surreal | bizzare, weird, or eerie; having a dreamlike quality; beyond real, very strange or unusual |
| humbug | a person involved in an act meant to trick or decieve someone; someone who pretends to be someone he is not; a dishonest or insincere person; nonsense; faker; fraud; imposter; phony |
| macabre | of, pertaining to , depicting, or evoking death or the horrors of death; gruesome; ghastly |
| corrupts | causes to become dishonest or wicked; spoils, ruins, poisons |
| rhyme or reason | having or showing good sense, logic, or meaning |
| disputes | arguments or debates; things that people don't agree on |
| eat my words | to admit that what you said is wrong |
| make hay while the sun shines | to take advantage of an opportunity or get something done while you have the chance |
