What is collaborative learning? Collaborative learning is based on the view that knowledge is a social construct; Beside, collaborative learning can occur peer-to- peer or in large group.
What are the four principles of collaborative learning? The student is the primary focus of instruction, interaction and doing are the primary importance, working in group is an important mode of learning
What is peer learning or peer instruction? It is a type of collaborative learning that involves students working in pairs or small groups to discuss concepts, or find solutions to problems.
What have many instructors found through peer instruction? Instructor have found that students teach each other by addressing misunderstandings and clarifying misconceptions.
which are the benefits of collaborative learning? Promotion student-faculty interaction, increase in student retention, self-esteem and responsability, preparation for real life social and employment situacion, exposure to and an increase in understanding of diverse perspectives.
What are some examples of collaborative learning? Stump your partner, think- pair- share, catch-up, case study, fishbowl debate.
How can you evaluate group work? Student group work can result in the production of: wikis, proposals, reports of case studies, n-class or video presentations, and posters.
