causes of CP mostly unknown, infectious meningitis, trauma, CMV (common cold), RH factor (issues in foreign countries), poor prenatal care, asphyxia (cord issues), low birth wt (33% of all cases, 50% of diplegic), cerebral hemorrhage
if periventricular are of brain is involved, central bleed, what type of CP? how does it affect? diplegic (42%)
if parietal lobe is affected, hemispheric bleed, to what extent are limbs effected? hemiplegic (36%)
if frontal lobe, global ischemia, what amt of limb involement? quadriplegic (7%)
