boots protect feet from abrasions, cuts, and chemicals
respirator protecs lungs from dusts,fumes, gasses and vapors
safety glasses protects the eyes from impacts with flying object
chaps protect the lefts from heat, impacts, and cuts and abrasions while welding or cuttin
hazards dangers in the workplace
hard hat protects head from low, hanging, or falling objects
face shield provides additional protection for the face from particles, and chemical splashes but is not impact
harness fall protection system worn when working at height
safety vest increases visability to keep workers from being run over or struck by objects at a job site
goggles protect the eyes from splashes of chemicals, paint, or other liquids
earplugs protect the ears from loud noises
gloves protect the hands from chemicals, rough or sharp parts, or heat
welding helmet protect eyes and face from bight arc and heat when welding
fire retardant jacket fabrics are those that have undergone chemical treatment to acquire some of the same properties flame-resistant fabrics inherently have. As a result of these chemical procedures, flame-retardant fabrics become self-extinguishing and slow-burning.
coveralls a one-piece protective garment worn for heavy manual work.
sleeves the part of a garment that wholly or partly covers a person's arm.
dust mask flexible pad held over the nose and mouth by elastic or rubber straps to protect against dusts encountered during construction or cleaning activities, such as dusts from drywall, brick, wood, fiberglass, silica or sweeping.
nomex hood brand name of a flame retardant meta-aramid material marketed and first discovered by DuPont in the 1970s
steel toe shoes durable boot or shoe that has a protective reinforcement in the toe which protects the foot from falling objects or compression, usually combined with a mid sole plate to protect against punctures from below.
