Pathways and Career Research
Term | Definition |
---|---|
Interests | The state of wanting to know or learn about something or someone. |
Skills | The expertise or talent to do a job or task. |
Aptitudes | The power to perform, accomplish, what you can do |
Values | A person's principles or standards of behavior; one's judgment of what is important in life. Consider (someone or something) to be important or beneficial; have a high opinion of. |
Career Plan | Helps you determine your skills and interests, what career best suits your talents, and what skills and training you need for your chosen career. |
Peach State Pathway | Sub-categories of careers designed to help you choose the classes you can take to prepare for success in a career you are interested in. |
Education | the act or process of imparting or acquiring particular knowledge or skills, as for a profession |
Employment | The condition of having paid work. |
Long-term goal | Something you want to accomplish in the future.They Require time and planning. They are not something you can do this week or even this year. |
Short-term goal | Something you want to do in the near future. The near future can mean today, this week, this month, or even this year. |
Research | Careful study that is done to find and report new knowledge about something |
Assessment | The evaluation or estimation of the nature, quality, or ability of someone or something. |
