Topical agents : Tretinoin, Podophyllum, Lindane who needs to be careful? why? Pregnant and lactating women because harmful to fetus
what group is more prone to skin infections with steroid cream use? old folks ( they have thinner skinthat absorbs more too)
Topical Agents : how much does a child absorb compared to an adult? Kids absorb 3 times more then adults
Who absorbs the least amount of topical agents? Young adults
Pt uses a topical agent ,skin gets worse what 3 things do they do? Wash off ,stop using see provider
Topical Med (except acne) when should you see improvement? 3-5 days if no improvment call provider
Can potent corticosteroids be used for diaper rash? NO!!!!!
