Immune and Inflammatory responses protect the body from foreign substances and insults. maintain homeostasis……but sometimes are inappropriate. (as with organ transplants, or autoimmune diseases). These are the times when drugs are needed to suppress these responses.
What two types of receptors does the immune system generate? Cell Mediated -depends on T-CELL SYSTEM -helper T-Cells enhance immune response -suppressor T-Cells suppress immune -response. -In a disease such as Aids, the number of helper T-cells drops to almost zero.
