| Conductor | A material that allows electricity or heat to pass through it easily. |
| Insulator | A material that does NOT allow electricity or heat to pass through it easily. |
| Magnetism | A force that can attract or repel magnetic materials. |
| Friction | The force in which two objects rub against each other causing them to heat up or slow down. |
| Energy | The ability to do work |
| Mechanical Energy | Work done for something that is moving |
| Thermal Energy | Energy of heat |
| Solar Energy | Energy produced by the sun |
| Light Energy | Energy in the form of waves that can travel through an empty space |
| Sound Energy | Energy from vibrations |
| Electrical Energy | Energy of moving electrons or electric charges |
| Heat resistent | Will NOT easily become hot |
| Independent Variable | The variable the scientist changes |
| Dependent Variable | The variable that you measure or observe |
| Volume | How much space something takes up |
| Density | The amount of molecules in matter that allows it to float or sink. |
| Physical Change | A change of matter in size, shape, or a state without any change in identity. |
| Chemical Change | A change of matter that occurs when atoms link together in a new way, creating a new substance from the original substance. |
