Reading & Math Review

TermDefinition
summary a brief statement or account of the main points of something
equation a mathematical statement that two things are equal.
synopsis a brief summary or general survey of something.
tidal pool a pool of salt water left (as in a rock basin) by an ebbing tide. — called also tidal pool.
variable A variable is a quantity that may change within the context of a mathematical problem
context clues Context clues are hints that an author gives to help define a difficult or unusual word.
main idea A main idea is important information that tells more about the overall idea of a paragraph or section of a text.
