| Autocractic | One person possesses unlimited government power. |
| Executive | Branch of government responsible for carrying out the laws. |
| Democracy | A country or nation that receives its power from the people/. |
| Head of State | Ceremonial position with limited government power; often reserved for a monarch |
| Presidential Democracy | A system of government in which the president is directly elected by the citizens. |
| Legislature | The law making body of a government. |
| Dictatorship | A form of government in which the political power is held by a self-appointed ruler. |
| Monarchy | Ruled by a king or queen. |
| Prime minister | The head of government in a Parliamentary Democracy. |
