legislature the law making body of government.
dictatorship a form of government in which the political power is held by a self appointed ruler.
prime minister the head of government in a parliamentary democracy.

presidential domocracy a system of government in which the president is directly elected by the citizens.
democracy a country or nation that receives its power from the people.
parliamentary democracy executive power is vested in a legislature the legislature selects the executive branch.
autocratic one person possesses unlimited government power.
head of state ceremonial position with limited government power often reserved for a monarch.
head of government leader of government with the most influence and power.
executive branch of government responsible for carrying out laws.
personal freedom basic rights given to citizens that include the right to vote equal rights and freedoms of the press and religion.
