Observation | Information that you obtain through your senses. |
Precision | A gauge of how exact a measurement is. |
Independent (Manipulated) Variable | The variable that is changed in an experiment. |
Technology | The use of knowledge to solve practical problems. |
Scientific Models | Makes it easier to understand things that might be too difficult to observe directly. |
Scientific Law | Summarizes a pattern found in nature |
Accuracy | The closeness of a measurement to the actual value being measured. |
Variable | Any factor that can change |
Qualitative | Means descriptive |
Scientific Method | An organized plan for gathering, organizing, and communicating information |
Length | A straight line distance between two points |
Hypothesis | A proposed answer to a question. It is an "if, then" statement. |
Scientific Theory | A well tested explanation for a set of observations or experimental results. |
Dependent Variable | The variable that can be measured. |
Temperature | How hot an object is. |
Science | A system of knowledge and the methods you use to find that knowledge. |
Mass | The quantity of matter in an object. |
Quantitative | Means numerical. |
