melting point the temperature of which a solid turns to a liquid
freezing point the temperature at which a liquid tuns to a solid
boiling point the temperature at which a liquid turns to a gas
physical property a characteristic that can be observed such as, texture, color, odor, melting point, boiling point, and density.
physical change a change in matter that does not effect its chemical composition.
chemical property the ability of a substance to change.
chemical change a process that changes substances into new substances.
law of conservation of matter a fundamental principle of science stating that matter cannot be created or destroyed in a closed system.
sublimation when anything solid turns into a gas without first becoming a liquid, that's sublimation
