| Hypothesis | A possible explanation or answer to a question |
| Data | Any pieces of information acquired through expierimentation |
| Theory | a unifying explanation for a broad range of hypotheses and observations that have been supported by testing |
| Law | A summary of many experimental results and observations; a law tells how things work |
| Model | A representation of an object or system |
| Meter | The basic unit of length in the SI system |
| Volume | The amount space of that something occupies or contains |
| Mass | The amount of matter that something is made of |
| Temperature | A measure of how hot(or cold) something is; a measure of the average kinetic energy particles in an object |
| Area | A measure of how much surface an object has |
| Density | The amount of matter in a given space; mass per unit volume |
