accelerate (V) when a process happens faster than usual or sooner than you expect
dilemma (N) a situation in which it is very difficult to decide what to do, because all the choices seem equally good or equally bad
emit (V) to send out gas, heat, light, sound etc
inefficient (ADJ) not using time, money, energy etc in the best way
pose (V) to exist in a way that may cause a problem, danger, difficulty etc
precise (ADJ) exact, clear, and correct
prosper (V) grow and develop in a successful way, especially by becoming rich or making a large profit
simultaneously (ADV) describing things happening at exactly the same time
unreliable (ADJ) unable to be trusted or depended on
yield (N) the amount of profits, crops etc that something produces
smokestack (N) a tall chimney at a factory or on a ship
methane (N) a gas that you cannot see or smell, which can be burned to give heat
livestock (N) animals such as cows and sheep that are kept on a farm
manure (N) waste matter from animals that is mixed with soil to improve the soil and help plants grow
reams (N) a large amount of writing on paper
boost (V) to increase or improve something and make it more successful
irrigation (N) to supply land or crops with water
footprint (N) 1) a mark made by a foot or shoe or 2) the effect that a person’s or organization’s activities have on the environment
alter (V) to change, or to make someone or something change
toxicity (N) the quality or degree of being poisonous
nutrients (N) a chemical or food that provides what is needed for plants or animals to live and grow
graze (V) to eat grass in a field
