conflict a struggle between two opposing forces
plot the series of events in a story
point of view how a writer chooses to narrate a story
sensory details words and phrases that appeal to the reader's senses of sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste.
suspense the feeling of growing tension and excitement experienced by the reader.
conflict can be internal or external
plot There are 5 stages: exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution
point of view Can be first person, second person, or third person.
