abscess confined pocket of pus that collects in tissues, organs, or spaces inside the body
acidosis overproduction of acid in the blood or excesive loss of bicarbonate from the blood
anemia a condition in which the blood doesn't have enough healthy red blood cells.
axilla the space below the shoulder through which vessels and nerves enter and leave the upper arm; a person's armpit
dysphagia symptom of difficulty iin swallowing
dyspepsia aka indigestion
dysplasia the abnormal growth or development of a tissue or organ
hematuria the presence of red blood cells in the urine
hypercalcemia too much calcium in the blood
ischemia an inadequate blood supply to an organ or part of the body, especially the heart muscles
patella the kneecap
PE or pulmonary embolism condition in which one or more arteries in the lungs becoe blocked by a blood clot
phalanges a bone of the finger or toe
ultrasound noninvasive test that produces pictures of body using sound waves instead of radiation
Doppler type of ultrasound that looks at vessels to evaluate blood flow
