What is the formula for Newton's 2nd Law? F=ma
What is Newton's 1st Law? A body at rest will stay at rest and a body in motion will stay in motion unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.
What is the unit we use for mass? Kilograms or kg
What is the unit for Force Newtons or N
What is the unit used for acceleration? Meters per second squared m/s2
A car that changes speed- slows down or speeds up or changes direction is doing this. acceleration
A car that is stopped and not moving or moving at a constant speed in a straight line is not doing this. acceleration
What does friction do to a ball rolling in the grass? The ball slows down.
An example of Newton's 3rd law: action vs reaction that involves a rocket could be described as this. The fuel in the rocket pushed down towards the earth, the earth responds by pushing back at the rocket and pushes the rocket upward.
What does mass have to do with acceleration? The more the mass the more force will have to be applied for an object to accelerate . The less the mass of an object, the less forces will have to be applied for an object to accelerate.
