opaque an object that does not allow any light to pass through
prism an instrument used for bending light
reflection when light bounces off a smooth shiny surface
refraction When light passes through an object and is bent
transparent an object that allows all light to pass through
translucent an object that allows some light to pass through
visible spectrum the range of colors that can be seen with the human eye
primary color the three colors used to create all other colors
absorbed to be taken in or soaked up
wavelength the distance between the crest or trough of two light or sound waves
