Allopurinol pearls With food, takes a few weeks to work during which more attacks may occur, notify MD of any rash
Thiazide pearls Side effects: low K, Na, Mg, hyperlipidemia, photosensitivity, rash
ACEI/ARB pearls report swelling of lips, tongue, face immediately, hyperkalemia, cough (ACEI only)
Beta blocker pearls enhance insulin and SUs, fatigue, dizziness, take in morning unless fatigue
Digoxin pearls For sx of HF, increased exercise tol and QOL Report sx of tox: N/V, loss of appetite, brady, blurred vision, greenish-yellow halos, abd pain
