Linear a relationship for which the graph is a straight line
Rate a ratio that compares two quantities with different units
Direct Variation another term for proportional; when two variables have the same x/y ratio
Constant of porportionality another term for unit rate
proportion an equal setting that two ratios or rates are equal
slope the rate of change between any two points on a line
unit rate a rate where the denominator is equal to one unit
ordered pair a pair of numbers used to locate a point on a coordinate plane
origin the point (0,0)
complex fraction a fraction that has a fraction in the numerator, denominator or both
quadrant one of the 4 regions on the coordinate plane
rate of change describes how one quantity changes in relation to another
