Crumple Zone part of a car that helps extend the time of change in momentum in a collision therefore decreasing the force felt in the car.
Head rest protects head in event of rear end collision, protects against whiplash
seat belt hold passengers in vehicle, decreases the chance that passengers will suffer severe injury
air bags safety device designed to increase the time of an impulse during a collision to lessen the force on a passenger
turn signals safety device to help prevent crashes
anti-lock brakes allows the driver to maintain control of the vehicle while braking
collapsable steering wheel protects driver during a front end collision
