BRAND / TRADE NAME trademark of a drug or device created by the originating manufacturing company
CHEMICAL STRUCTURE the shape of molecules and their location to one another
DRUG CLASSIFICATION categorization based on the action of a drug and its usage
FORMULARY a list of preferred drugs to be stocked by the pharmacy; also a list of drugs covered by an insurance company
GENERIC NAME name assigned to a medication by the Food an Drug Administration; nonproprietary name of a drug
MONOGRAPH medication information sheet provided by the manufacturer that includes side effects, dosage forms, indications, and other important information
