Hertzsprung-Russell Diagram and life cycle of a star

TermDefinition
Hertzsprung-Russell Diagram A tool that shows the relationships and differences between stars.
Neutron Star A star made almost entirely of neutrons.
Nova Explosions of extra material off of a white dwarf star.
Planetary Nebula A collection of gases ejected after a star dies.
Protostar A star in embryo.
White Dwarf The object left over after a low mass star runs out of helium. Made almost entirely of carbon atoms in the core.
