Pharmacy tech book Chapter 3 Definitions word

Certified pharmacy technician A technician who has passed the National Certification Examination; the technician can use the abbreviation CPhT after his or her name.
Continuing education Education beyond the basic technical education, usually required for license renewal.
Hyperalimentation Parenteral nutrition for patients who are unable to eat solids or liquids.
Inpatient pharmacy A pharmacy in a hospital or institutional setting.
National Association of Boards of Pharmacy National organization for members of state boards of pharmacy.
Outpatient pharmacy Pharmacies that serve patients in theri communities; pharmacies that are not in inpatient facilities.
Parenteral medications Medication administered by injection, such as intravenously or intramuscularly.
Pharmacy Technician Certification Board National board for the certification of pharmacy technicians.
